For me, taxes have never been about simply plugging numbers into a return.

I believe understanding your taxes can change the way you make financial decisions.

As the owner of Advancity Financial Solutions, my mission is to empower everyday taxpayers to understand how their money is taxed, how their tax bill is calculated, and what those numbers actually mean.

I’m an Enrolled Agent, but I’m also an educator at heart. I want my clients to leave our conversations understanding more than they did when they came in.

That means going through your tax return with you. Explaining the numbers. Helping you understand deductions and credits. Being proactive when I see something coming—like your final year qualifying for a tax credit or a reason you may want to revisit your W-4.

And our conversations don’t always stop at taxes.

Sometimes that means talking about why saving matters. Why families should learn about life insurance. Why a Roth IRA or other investment account may be worth exploring with the appropriate professional. Why building wealth isn’t something reserved for people who are already wealthy.

For my business owners, it means helping you understand your books, your industry-specific deductions, your business structure, and the financial responsibilities that come with being your own employer—including knowing when it’s time to bring other trusted professionals into the conversation.

Sometimes, we simply need someone to teach us the things we were never taught.
